While working together for 4 years as physical therapists at VCMC Outpatient Therapy Services, Rosanna Kirkendall-Azer and Marc Broberg shared a common phenomenon: their treatment schedules were constantly full with word-of-mouth patients requesting them by name. What was unique about Marc and Rosanna that drove such fervent loyalty among patients and doctors?
- Constant pursuit of clinical knowledge and skill growth. To them, physical therapy was a passion, not a job. Completing countless hours of continuing education, they quickly became recognized leaders and experts in their respective areas of practice.
- Relentless focus on quality outcomes. Their quantitative measurement system and evidence-based approach to treatment, incorporating the latest and greatest in field research, consistently resulted in exceptional outcomes relative to others. For complex cases, they facilitated collaboration across medical disciplines to ensure the highest quality in patient care.
- Genuine interest and concern for their patients over profits. They personally fought for solutions to financial limitations rather than deny or cease care. They refused to prioritize patients or procedures based on insurance reimbursement schedules. Marc and Rosanna simply loved their patients like family.
It was upon these three fundamental principles that Marc and Rosanna decided to build the ultimate patient-centric private practice. In 2013, Two Trees Physical Therapy & Wellness, Inc, was born and the surrounding community quickly took notice to the “new standard of care” offered at Two Trees PT.
As the wait-list grew, Marc and Rosanna launched a recruitment campaign to assemble the region’s best and brightest physical, occupational, and speech therapists under one roof. The increasingly diverse staff shared in the same 3-principle belief system, and together, established one of the best private-practive collaboration systems in Southern California.
After three years of business, the explosive demand for Two Trees PT services could no longer be sustained under one roof. Rosanna and Marc saw an expansion opportunity that would take the “Two Trees” value proposition to the next level. In early 2016, Two Trees Physical Therapy & Wellness would rebrand to Two Trees Therapy & Wellness and introduce three specialty clinics: Two Trees Ortho, Two Trees Neuro, and Two Trees Kids. Each facility would be designed and managed by a Board Certified Orthopedic, Neurological, or Pediatric specialist respectively, and cater to the specific needs of the targeted client. Physicians and patients from Ventura and surrounding communities began opting for the new, specialized model of care as opposed to the old generic “PT” model still prevalent today.
Two Trees Ortho is a state-of-the-art rehab facility that specializes in sports and orthopedic therapy. Everything from joint replacement, to chronic back pain, to hand therapy, to high-level athletes recovering from a sports injury or looking to improve a specific function, our expert therapists are trained in treating all orthopedic conditions. Some of the cutting-edge equipment used at this facility are an AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, a BTS Biometric Force Plate, and a Paramount Functional Trainer.
Two Trees Neuro is a spin-off from Two Trees Physical Therapy & Wellness and designed to offer the ideal outpatient setting for neurological rehab, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Other specialties include vertigo and vestibular rehab, vision therapy, sound therapy, fall prevention programs, and Neuo & Parkinson's bootcamp.
Two Trees Kids specializes in pediatric therapy.
